Anderson is facing nine charges, including fleeing police, resisting an officer and harming a public servant, according to police records. The other charges are traffic related. The arrest occurred in Broward County, not far from Anderson’s home in the Fort Lauderdale area.
“We are aware of the situation,” a Jets spokesman said. “This is a pending legal matter and we will have no further comment.”
Anderson was arrested last May at a musical festival in Miami Beach. He was charged with resisting arrest with violence. He’s still awaiting trial, which is scheduled for March 19.
Anderson enjoyed a breakout season with the Jets, as he led the team with 941 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. He made the team in 2016 as an undrafted free agent out of Temple.
